C13 cat engine problems

What could be the problem. I just recently started driving the vehicle and had not had any issues. It idles fine and the engine seems fine. I drove it for a mile this afternoon and it wouldn't go over 30 mph and didn't want to go over 60. It idled fine at idle. I put it in park to back into a parking spot. The next thing I know it is pulling away from the parking spot and going down the street. It's the first time it has ever done that. Could it be the transmission, fuel, or oil? It's on the engine was a replacement in 2010, and I am getting all the maintenance done on the vehicle. I did a tune up yesterday and an oil change.

It could be the transmission, if it isn't going in park and pulling away.

If it pulls away while still in gear, you might have over heated your transmission fluid, if the temperature is right, you could lose the transmission to the ground.

I would drain the transmission fluid, fill it to the brim with transmission flush, (you only need a small amount) shake it to make sure there are no big clumps of stuff.

If the transmission is in good shape, you can put it back into gear, if you let the engine idle for 30 minutes.

Hello ,

The transmission fluid is full to the top, this will lower the performance of your vehicle and it is a safety problem.

Check your car manual it should have a number to find out how to drain the transmission .

Hello,

The fluid has to be fully drained before the car will start to work.

You should drain the transmission fluid every six months, and put the transmission fluid back in. The fluid should be full to the top.

You can drain the transmission fluid from the overflow tank on the vehicle's dash.

Have the car driven until the car is stopped to a safe spot.

Turn the car off, drain the transmission fluid, and refill it with transmission fluid and shake it.

Put the car in gear, and drive.

Let the car idle for at least one hour to help reduce heat.

You should have the car's owner manual if it has a transmission service schedule.

It sounds like your vehicle is overheating, the transmission oil is dirty or is in need of change.

This is only half of a transmission oil change. You should schedule for a complete transmission service.

You can find transmission service information for your vehicle on the following website.

You can get a transmission fluid flush at your local transmission shop.

The answer is yes.

The radiator fan is the biggest fan that turns in your engine.

If the fan is broken and not functioning, it will lower the temperature of your engine and it will make the car start running hot.

If the fan is broken, you need to have the radiator fan replaced. The radiator fan is controlled by a motor.

It is covered under your vehicle warranty.

The first thing to check is the fan motor. If the fan is not running, you need to have the fan motor replaced.

The fan motor should be covered by your vehicle warranty.

The coolant is under pressure, this will lower the performance of your vehicle and it is a safety problem.

Check your car manual it should have a number to find out your coolant level.

The coolant level can also be seen on your car gauges.

If your coolant is too low, get a complete coolant flush at your local transmission shop.

If your coolant is too low, get a complete coolant flush at your local transmission shop.

Check your owner's manual if there is a warning light.

If your car has not started since the transmission flush was done, you should get it checked.

The transmission flush should be done every five years.

The transmission fluid will be drained, a new gasket installed, the transmission filter installed, the transmission case and gasket flushed, the transmission case and transmission hoses cleaned and the transmission fluid replaced.

The entire transmission should be inspected.

It should be drained again, a new gasket installed, and the transmission case and hoses cleaned again.
